Elder Kenneth and Evangelist Blanche Ringgold began the church in their home with their five children in February 1995 after the General Bishop, Bishop Perry Lindsay Sr., appointed him as Pastor. They continued to have service in their homes for approximately 1½ years. The Lord truly blessed the services during this time and manifested himself through Elder Ringgold with a great teaching anointing. With much prayer, fasting and seeking the Lord, an opportunity to purchase the building at 300 Lombard Street was made available. They were very excited and could see the hand of the Lord moving in their behalf. They continued to pray, but later were informed that there was another buyer for this property and that it was no longer available. They continued to pray and Evangelist Ringgold spoke the word that the Lord had already shown her that this was their building. As time passed, they continued to pray and the Lord continued to confirm that this was the place. As God is faithful to his spoken word, they received a call that the deal had fallen through and that the building was once again on the market. They rejoiced in their hearts and began working toward raising the money for the down payment. Their children even desired to be a blessing and helped the ministry. At their young ages, they went into their piggy banks and gave all they had. Min Ringgold, II, even gave his weekly paychecks to help secure the property. Just as God had spoken it, it came to pass. And they settled on the building on July 1996. They continued to rejoice and be thankful unto God. The first service was held at 300 Lombard Street, Wilmington, Delaware on Sunday, August 4th, 1996. God has surely been blessing the ministry from that day on. He has been faithful in placing devoted members in the ministry, those who have developed a love for the church and have caught the vision of the Pastor and Co-Pastor. The gifts have been manifested and God has surely shown himself mighty in our midst. We are looking for an even greater anointing and mightier works.
