Prophetess Blanche Ringgold is the Co-Pastor of Refreshing Spring Glorious Church of God in Christ, Inc. in Wilmington, Delaware. Co-Pastor Ringgold is best known for her encouraging messages relating to doing the will of the Lord as it concerns the life of the Christian. Her messages of hope, deliverance and righteous living have changed many lives that have experienced the REFRESHING SPRING ENCOUNTER.
At the age of 16, she received the Holy Ghost at Evangelistic Glorious Church of God in Christ in Newark, New Jersey. Under the leadership of Pastor Minnie and Bishop William Mason, she served vigorously in the capacities of Choir Director, New Jersey State President of Young People's Unity Workers (YPUW) and as a member of the church Usher Board.
In 1975, she was joined in holy matrimony to Elder Kenneth Ringgold, I, and relocated to Delaware. Through this union, the Lord has blessed them with five children. She attended the Glorious Church of God in Christ, Inc., in Townsend, Delaware, with her husband under the leadership of the late Mother Cecil Henry. Under the guidance of Mother Henry, she faithfully functioned as the Primary Sunday School teacher, Women's Industrial Service Workers (WISW) Vice-President and the President of the Jr. Missionary Board.
Unknown to her, the Lord was about to call her to a higher place. As the Lord began to elevate her to this new level, He also positioned them at another church. The Lord guided Deacon Ringgold to United Tabernacle under the pastorate of Bishop Joseph Brown, Sr. It was then that Sis. Ringgold began having dreams and visions. Through these spiritual occurrences, she was able to forewarn her children of the pitfalls that lay ahead of them. At United Tabernacle, she served as the Missionary President, Pastor's Aid Vice-President and Primary Sunday School teacher. But it didn't stop there. One night as she lay in her bed having chest pains which rendered her helpless, she heard the Lord as He said, "Minister Ringgold, do the work of an evangelist." It was then that she realized the call she had on her life. Not much later, she was ordained as a Minister at the United Tabernacle of Christ Church.
The anointing that God has placed on her life to preach the gospel has reached many hearts. She has spread the word of the Lord to those in Gander Hill Prison (Wilmington, Delaware). Smyrna Correctional Facility (Smyrna, Delaware) and the Women's Correctional Institute (New Castle, Delaware). After serving as a Minister under Bishop Brown for several years, the Lord led the family back to the Glorious Church of God in Christ. It was then that she was ordained as an Evangelist in the Glorious body.
In 1995, the General Bishop, Bishop Perry Lindsay, Sr., appointed Elder Ringgold to the Pastorship in the Northeastern District. Upon the appointment by the General Bishop, Elder & Evangelist Ringgold began the church with their five children and one niece.
In March 1999, she was formally appointed as the Co-Pastor of Refreshing Spring. Co-Pastor Ringgold is widely known for her love for the church and its people. The love she shows has won many souls to Christ. She has many gifts that have been useful for the upbuilding of God's kingdom. During her walk with the Lord, she has learned to be a resilient prayer warrior that will tear down the wall of Satan. Still today, she instills the principles of prayer and a relationship with the Lord to the children of Refreshing Spring. She is a spokesperson for righteousness in all aspects of the Christian walk. With her strong knack of counseling added with wisdom and prophetic insight from the Lord, she has acquired a skill that cannot be easily taught in a class or seminar. She has stood by her husband in evocative prophetic and evangelistic exhibitions that provide a role model for their congregation to follow. In her path to become all that the Lord has for her, she has administered several auxiliaries and ministries that have made Refreshing Spring like no other church. As she continues to walk in the perfect will of God, she is teaching her flock that love, faith and unity are the key essentials to living a holy life.
